Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Things you need to know, starting with some terms and conditions around payment.
Payment
Payment for all classes is required in advance and is non-refundable unless the teacher (that’s me, Christine) is unavailable. You will be given as much notice as possible if this is the case, and will be provided with a choice of how you would like monies refunded, or whether you would like the money held for the next class.
Payment can be made in cash or electronically - details of how to pay electronically are available on request.
What to bring
Please bring a mat, water to drink and a blanket for relaxation
What to expect
The class is suitable for beginners and is adapted to suit attendees.
Arrival and during the class
Please arrive at your class 10 minutes before the advertised start time – this will allow you to be settled and present in good time for the class to start. If you are rushing and are likely to turn up a little later, just make me aware.
Please ensure that you make the teacher (that’s me, Christine) aware of any injuries or illnesses before the start of class. Please don’t do anything that hurts.
Please ensure that you have switched off any phones before the class starts.
Please feel free to talk and laugh during the class, but be mindful of other participants and respect the mood of the class. We will have periods for pausing and relaxation (also known as “cwtchy down time”) when you are expected to observe quiet. That said, it’s obviously reasonable to cough, sneeze, hiccough, burp, snore during these periods of quiet (farting is also not unknown …..please try not to snigger too loudly).
Please be aware that you don’t need to be skinny, or bendy, or have practiced yoga before. You don’t need to wear Lycra, or a floaty outfit – you just need to be able to move around in your clothes, feel comfortable enough to stretch.
What not to do
Please don’t try too hard – the aim of the class is relaxation and the aim of yoga is gradual progression and improvement. If you push or force, at best you will tense up and it will feel harder than it needs to be, if worst you will cause yourself damage.
Please don’t compare yourself to others – we’re all different and that makes life beautiful.
